Smile :-)
On Wednesday it was school photo day and it was already plain to see that Mr F was having a bad affect/effect on the boys with the obscene amounts of hair gel being thrown around! Keep your eyes out for the class photo coming home soon.

R18s 'Typical' Student!
Today in class we did a statistical investigation to find out who was the class 'typical' student. We completed tally charts on height, weight, family size, eye and hair colour and favourite school subject. We learnt that the most common student in R18 has brown hair and brown eyes, weighs between 26-30kg, is between 131-140cm tall loves PE and comes from a family of 4. In the end only 1 student ticked all these boxes...and here she is!

Maths with meaning
This week we have been spending a bit of time out on Van Diemen St car watching. What for you might ask...well we thought we might do a statistics investigation on what time of the day is the busiest (hence most dangerous) time to be crossing the road at our new kea crossing. Not surprisingly 9:20 and 2:20 had the most cars whizzing up and down the street.
