Team 18s Hockey stars!

Webb Ellis visits HSS

Last Wednesday the Webb Ellis Cup came to HSS - it was sort of like a roadshow.  Two people in R18 were allowed to touch it - me and Mr F.  We had to wear funny white gloves to hold it because the only people allowed to touch it with bare hands are the winners.  They asked us questions to win posters.  The whole school dressed in black for the day.

Duck Attack!

On Friday Ben brought in his ducks. We got to feed them; some ducks got more food than others. The ducks were eager to get food. Until they got scared, then they hid under the bench it was cute.

It's Hampden Houses day ...again!

Last Friday saw the end of swimming for term 1.  It finished with a BANG with the interhouse relay and staff v children race.  House colours were out in force cheering on their swimmers.  Initially Van Diemen held a narrow lead but this was over taken mid race by Hampden, who held on to win.  Van Dieman came in second and Waimea in 3rd.  This meant that Hampden House had accumulated enough points to be the overall swimming champions for 2012!   

Like last year, the teachers proved too strong for the kids to grab back bragging rights in the staff v children race.  Better luck next year kids!

My Most Prized Pocessions

If i was moving house the four things I would take would be... Firstly my giant bag of soft toys because my soft toys make me feel happy.  My soft toys are also special to me.  Secondly my dog Angus because i think he is so nice, I can't leave him behind. Thirdly my box full of my Christmas presents and birthday presents.  Lastly my favourite soft toy of all (who doesn't live in the bag of soft toys) Rabboo, a rabbit who is very smart.  he is a really cute bunny that I want to keep for my kids.

Awake the Purple cakes

This is us eating cupcakes.  Go Purple!  Some people went a bit overboard with the sprinkles.  They were delicious, divine, scrumptuous!!!
