How to make a Medieval Shield

You will need:

  • glue
  • scissors
  • cardboard
  • stapler
  • masking tape
  • craft knife
  • shield template
  • paint (and brush)
  • pencil
  • colouring pencils

1.  Pick up your cardboard and your shield template and trace around the template.

2.  Cut out your shield.

3.  Paint your shield black, blue or red.

4.  Rule across your shield with your ruler.
5.  Stick masking tape on the ruled lines so when you paint it, it will not go out of the line.
6.  Take your shield over to an adult and they will use a craft knife to cut out the overlapping bits.
7.  Paint your cross gold.
8.  Peel off your masking tape and you will end up with a straight cross.

9.  Colour your picture in and glue it on.

10.  Get your cardboard strips and staple them on
11.  There!  You have your shield.

Meg's Got Talent!

On Wednesday Meg performed in this Year's edition of HSS's Got Talent!  She sung "Love is Easy" by McFly to an impressed crowd.  "I felt really nervous, my hands were shaking,"  said Meg after her performance.  The judges thought she showed great confidence getting up on stage and singing without a backing track.  Well done Meg - you did R18 proud!
