Hawk and squirrel the plump squirrel was playing happily in he beautiful autam leaves the fiery sun was was burnig on my soft sikh back.It was a perfect time for me to strike but i waited for the time to come. The naked trees was a perfect time to spy on prey. Then the time came the squirrel feasted on a tasty nut, i sprung into the air like a champion. The squirrel quickly noticed I was there and ran. The chase was on.i looked back at my body my needy jet black eyes and razor sharp talons to peruse and kill prey, my yellow hooked beak and the beautiful brown feathers around my skin.then I looked at the squirrel his soft sikh fur and enormous bold eyes and long priced up ears. We  jumped for hours and hours  the winner would either be safe or full of food I could feel the tension in the air then a hollow in a tree that meant he would be going for that  I swooped and turned and then he was safe in the hollow better safe then sorry I thought but I will be more vigarous next time.

ARTS PASSIONS

We wrote recounts from the point of view of either the hawk or the squirrel. Here's Rhea's great piece of writing. One Autumn day in the sunny forest, a squirrel played happily among the falling leaves. But, up above the high trees I was watching carefully through the naked trees. I caught sight of the squirrel, the squirrel caught sight of me. I was hungry and the chase was on. I shot through the air faster than I had gone before. The squirrel was a tree away from me. I thought i could make it but the squirrel jumped into a little hole in a next of leaves. I decided that i was too hungry to waits i started ripping the leaves off where the squirrel was hiding. But, the squirrel had other ideas. He jumped out the bottom of it and landed on a branch. Looking a little stunned, still he was fast...but I was faster (that's my opinion anyway). He jumped so fast that i started to feel slow, but I didn't give up until he jumped into a hole. Darn! I tried everything to get into the hole but nothing worked. Finally I gave up and went back up into the trees. I felt disappointed...and still hungry! By Rhea

And then there were...10!!!

OMG!  What has happened to the Eighteam this week!  Only 9 children were sitting up keen and ready to learn when the bell went at 9:00 Monday.  Where is everyone hiding we thought?  After 10 mins no one else had arrived...20 children down with all manner of nasty bugs.

Tuesday wasn't much better with only 12 children!  Fingers crossed for a better turnout tomorrow!

GET WELL SOON...WE MISS YOU!!
