Peter Pan at HSS

Today we watched the Peter pan show - it was so cool! The singing was interesting. They sounded like professionals. For the boy singing I would give him 5 out of 5 and the girl 5 out of 5 as well.

Ready...Set...GO!!

Over the last few Thursdays we have been learning about Scooter safety and road courtesy with Sarah from the Nelson City Council. She taught us about the kerb drill and looking out for hazards on the footpath. We did heaps of fun relays and games to improve our skills and scooter control.

Yum, yum! Big Breakfast anyone?

We have a group of budding masterchefs here in R18! Inspired by our trip to the Ranzau Craft Potters we came back and used the skills we had learnt to make a delicious meal of sausages, chips, eggs and peas for Mr F. As you can see they almost look good enough to eat!

Room 18s Pottery visit

We have been doing art using clay in R18 for the last few weeks. We were lucky enough to visit Ranzau Craft Potters in Hope to give us some expert knowledge and inspiration. Maureen kindly showed us around the amazing gallery and then demonstrated how to use some of the specialist equipment that professional potters use.

A big thanks to those many parents who offered to take transport on the day! We can't do it without you!

How many marshmallows can you fit in? Try 12!!

WOW!! Super balance and flexibility!!
As part of our 'We're Amazing!' topic we have been demonstrating skills that exist within our class - and what a talented bunch we are. Check out some of the impressive (and wacky) skills above! These are just the tip of the iceberg we have seen over the last few weeks.
Also, how can we forget about the amazing in class records that have been constantly broken and rebroken to the point where it will take an awesome effort to beat them now.

REDDY Launch Day

Last Friday was the REDDY Launch Day at school. REDDY is our school super student who is seen on all our learner qualities and values around the school. To celebrate him we had a fun afternoon of activities including bullrush, marbles, swimming, art and heaps more. We then gathered and released red balloons into the air to reflect our school motto of 'Reaching for the Stars!'
